Windows XP Power Options | Hibernate
I'm having the following issue. I would like to be able to turn on my office computers and then have them go into hibernate after a certain amount of time. The bios on my pc's allow for a power on option. Therefore, I can set that and my computers will come on at 8:00am. The problem is I want them to go into hibernate after 9 hours. That way, my pc's come on at 8:00am then they go into hibernate at 5:00 Pm when staff leaves. Then, the next day they power on again at 8:00 am and so on. But, in Control Panel | Power Options | Power Schemes | System Hibernates has a max of 6 hours. Is there a way to customize this field? For example add a 9 hours option to the field. Or, better, could I add a specific time as on option in this field such as 5:00 pm. Please help if possible. Thanks.1 person needs an answerI do too

You can set up a scheduled task using Task Scheduler that launches PsShutdown with the -h param (hibernate), at a specific time each day.
